I figured that in all my spare time I would review not only console games , but also I-Pad games. [ I would do android apps too if any one wants to contribute an android tablet] . Zombie Burbz is the lucky first contestant I chose. At first glance the game really does not look like much. Average game play average graphics the game is free...... wait the game is free? Yes the game is FREE so you down load it and Shit you have to have the little figures to play the game. so for ten buck-a-roos i got me a sent of zombie figures. I thought they would be fun to look at if nothing else. in each set you get one game piece and three figures to look at.
As you can see I got this hot babe in a smart red swimming suit, a mail zombie, a zombie dog and a middle age zombie in a yellow shirt. It is the last little zombie that is our game piece. So off comes his little protective ring to, ..... well protect his base. Once the game is fired up you will find crates locked up you must find the crate with his face on it to unlock that level. Once unlocked you find that you get 16 levels for you 10 dollars. First strike. The game is played by placing the zombie game piece on the screen. Press an arrgh button or a blech button will send out your attacks to kill the on coming hordes in a plants vrs zombies esq fashion. The game play is nothing special. Strike 2 . As you play the game the onscreen counter part to you player figure will disconnect and and leave you with a shitty game play Stike three and it out.
With the problems unimaginative game play added to the 10 cost for each set of zombies I not going to bother buying the other sets. I would strongly suggest you avoid this title too.

This one will be a quick one not even a full review of sorts. Let me start out by saying that I love Lego games I have bought and beaten most of them got 100% on most too. So when I heard that the LOTR was on its way I was pleased to say the least. But as I began to play it my joy slowly ebbed away. poor controls and glitches are abound in this game. Travelers tales usually hits a home run with there games leave my to wonder WTF. I sit poised to grasped yet another 100% and cannot not because of my ability but because of the games glitches not letting me bet the last mythril blocks I need. Most people would say who cares but I want my 100% damn it. I have gone as far as contacting the company to see wth is going on to get a e-mail back saying they are look into it and working on a patch. I should not complain but it raises the old question of why don't these people beta test more??
Being late to every party seems to be a trend with me. Showing up this late for the PSP party is not a shock. However I do know that there are others like me that enjoy buying systems late because you can but the games fer really freaking cheap. Silent Hill Shattered Memories is not only cheap it is also a game series that I love so a double win. How ever once the game is started the win is not so great. One of the great aspects of the Silent Hill franchise is beating the snot out creepy crawlies. And that is the big change with this title. No fighting at all. When the monsters come out to play you run away. I cannot believe that we have been reduced to little running babies like this. All is not lost the protagonist of the game has a smart phone that he carries around. This smart phone has his map all messages that are give to you . If any phone numbers are found you can call them and some puzzles require you to make these calls. The camera feature of the smart phone reveals things that cannot be seen with the naked eye. The options save feature and logs ( calls made photos taken ) are also found on this smart phone. Where all the new features so not hit it out of the park the interactions with certain objects most certainly does. Object that have a small white arrow pointing at them can be interacted with. When you look closely at them a small hand appears on the screen. This hand can grab object and twist off lids, turn things over and manipulate them in a plethora of ways. This opens the doors to man new ways to challenge the players intellect with puzzles. The puzzles themselves in the game are neither tough nor easy just kind of in the middle. The Story of the game leaves a lot to be desired. As the game is played it seems that the story is handed out is small fragmented chunks leaving me wondering what the hell happened. Since I am bitching let me add this what the hell is going on with the monsters in this version that look like Disney took the reigns on this one. I know this is a hand held but the psp has the same power as the PSX so What the hell is this crap. So all in all why should you play this game? Honestly the only reason that I can give s if your a huge fan of the franchise other than that????? Run RUN AWAY.

Picross 3D

Nintendo has rolled out a new entry in the picross line up.
This version is (can you guess???) 3D. The 3D aspect you would think would make the puzzles harder. But in fact the 3D only makes the puzzle harder by a slim margin. Turning the puzzle makes more clues visible . The control tend to leave something to be desired. When you go to turn the puzzle if your not careful you mess up the puzzle. Not a big deal to most but being a video game dork like me I want each little puzzle with all 4 little stars. (Yes I am a sad little man, Well a sad BIG man). But when it all comes down to brass tacs the down side is not really that bad compared to the up side. This game is very simple to get the hang of and quite addictive in the long run. As an added bonus Picross 3D has additional puzzles to download every so often. This is one of those games that you play and forget that it is actually good for your brain. Like brain age and Sudoku the puzzle make you use parts of your brain that you might not normally use. But who really cares about that CRAP? Video games are supposed to be fun and I think that Picross 3D fills that bill to a big old T. On a scale of 1 - 10 Picross 3D gets a 8. I would like to give it a 9 BUT the controls tend to piss me off. From time to time.

Touch the Dead

Eidos brings this new twist to an old dog.(woof)
This Light gun title has been ported over to the touch screen. When I first popped this game in to the old Ds. I figured that it wouldn't be much of a play. I mean all you have to do is tap (or touch) the zombies . it just seemed liked it was going to to easy. Well I was kind of right . Head shot are fairly easy to pull off. Shots to hit any part of the body are easy. How is this game going to be a challenge? From the start your a prisoner in a ( Shock alert) Prison . Crazy crap starts to happen and you cell door opens up. As you wonder around the connecting rooms you walk in to a bathroom and find . Any guesses? A gun . Just laying there , Ok no the didn't spend the budget on story . This becomes painfully clear as the game plays on . Looking at the graphic tells you that the money wasn't spent on them either. If you can figure where the money went I for one would like to know . I am sure Eidos would like to know too. Level fight is rarely tough and in the times it is , it comes for being over run by zombie. That is one of the points they got right. But even in that it only becomes a matter of remembering where John and Fred zombie and all their friends were standing and then next time around there you go. The boss fight can be a different story even though the show where to shot that seldom makes it any easier. So I begin to ask why have I gone back to play this game again from the sound of what I have said it sounds like crap. Well it maybe crap, but this crap has zombies in it and I can't get enough of shooting zombies. The ease of shooting makes it fun . watching zombies loose a jaw/leg/head can bring a shite day up . Even though the graphics / sound and control at times leave me wants more. Out of 10 I would give this game 7.
